Getting Started with XiWrite
Alpha status (14 October 2026): XiWrite is planned and its public installer is not verified. This page describes the checked WordCraft foundation; XiKey integration is still in progress. Alpha is free today.
Overview
XiWrite is the XiKey™ word processor for styles, tables, references and document review, based on WordCraft. It belongs to the XiOffice bundle with XiWrite, XiSheet and XiSlides. The following guides describe the checked upstream foundation.
Installing via XiLauncher
Installation through XiLauncher is still in progress. No public XiWrite installer or catalog installation workflow is verified. Check the product page for release availability.
First-Launch Welcome Screen
The XiKey splash, About and message dialogs are in progress. The Arabic interface and one-click language switch are in progress. Classic/Modern layouts and Retina scaling are planned. These statuses do not establish a shipped first-launch screen. The checked upstream includes its own view and appearance controls.
Creating and Opening Documents
The checked foundation opens and saves DOCX, RTF, Markdown, HTML and plain text, and exports PDF with selectable text, links and bookmarks. PDF/A output is not available. Imported layout and saved files may differ from Word; preserve originals and inspect a reopened copy.
