Honest Status: What Works Today vs. What Is Coming
The checked DeckCraft desktop foundation supports Arabic shaping and bidirectional slide text. Its Arabic interface is absent and the workspace is not mirrored. Browser exports have documented Arabic glyph problems.

Designing Arabic and Bilingual Slide Decks Today
- Type Arabic in normal logical Unicode order and use a font covering Arabic.
- Set paragraph direction and alignment for text boxes and master placeholders, then inspect each derived slide.
- Choose transition direction to suit the reading flow.
- Inspect PPTX and PDF output, especially mixed text and browser-generated exports. Do not assume identical rendering across platforms.
