Interface & Workspace
Alpha status (14 October 2026): XiSlides is planned and its public installer is not verified. This page describes the checked DeckCraft foundation; XiKey integration is still in progress. Alpha is free today.
Workspace Layout
The checked DeckCraft workspace uses a Ribbon, slide thumbnails, slide stage, notes pane and contextual inspectors.
- Home and Insert: text, shapes, connectors, pictures, tables and charts. Chart editing is limited; SmartArt imports are groups of shapes rather than fully editable diagrams.
- Design: themes, masters, inherited layouts and slide size.
- Transitions and Animations: transition duration and advance, including Morph, plus build effects and sequencing with Alpha limitations.
- Slide Show: playback, a separate presenter window, custom shows and rehearsal timings. Narrated recording and video export are absent.
- View and organization: sections, slide ordering, master editing, notes, gridlines and guides.
Presenter windows are not placed on the projector and laptop displays automatically.
Command Palette
Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Command+Shift+P on macOS) to open the command palette and search actions by name.
Switching Language (English ⇄ العربية)
XiKey Arabic interface integration and the one-click language switch are in progress. The checked DeckCraft desktop supports RTL slide text and Arabic shaping, but lacks an Arabic interface and mirrored workspace. Browser exports have documented Arabic glyph problems.
