Interface Overview

These instructions describe the checked PdfCraft foundation as of 14 October 2026. XiPDF Alpha is free; public installer availability and XiKey integration are not yet verified.

Main Areas of the Window

1. Menus, document tabs and command palette: Find tools and commands (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) searches document operations by name.
2. Tools: Select text, pan, add review annotations, measure supported drawings and prepare forms or redactions. Check permissions before changing protected files.
3. Navigation: Page thumbnails support page organisation; bookmarks navigate longer documents and attachments hold companion files.
4. Document view: Single-page, facing-page and continuous views, zoom, Read mode and Full screen support inspection. Read mode uses Ctrl+H on Windows/Linux and Ctrl+Cmd+H on macOS.
5. Comments and forms: Review comments and interactive AcroForm fields; complex scripting and XFA behaviour have documented limits.

Switching Interface Language (English ⇄ العربية)

Arabic interface integration and one-click English ⇄ العربية switching are in progress for XiPDF.
