Honest Status: What Works Today vs. Coming
XiPhoto is the pilot application for XiKey Desktop's Arabic localization and typography architecture. Here is the exact breakdown of what is implemented today versus what is in progress or planned.
Available in the Local Pilot
- Arabic interface — shipped: Switch between English and العربية with one click in the title bar, without restarting.
- Paired fonts — shipped: Set an Arabic font beside the Latin font for each text run. The font menu already groups Arabic and English fonts.
- XiKey identity — shipped: The local pilot includes the splash screen and XiKey app icon.
In Progress
- Arabic-style font dialog — in progress: The richer dialog for browsing Arabic fonts by style is not yet integrated.
- Arabic word order — in progress: Correct Arabic word order remains unfinished; review Arabic text before sharing a design.
- Dialogs, About and welcome — in progress: The complete XiKey dialog and welcome experience is still being integrated.
- Signed XiKey updates — in progress: Delivery and signature verification through XiLauncher remain unfinished.
