Interface Overview

These instructions describe the checked DesignCraft foundation as of 14 October 2026. XiLayout Alpha is free; public installer availability and XiKey integration are not yet verified.

Main Areas of the Window

1. Menus and Quick Apply: Ctrl+Enter / Cmd+Return searches styles and commands.
2. Tools: Selection (V), Direct Selection (A), Type (T), Rectangle Frame (F), Pen (P), Hand (H) and Zoom (Z) support page construction.
3. Spreads: Facing pages, margins, columns, guides and baseline grids support composition. W toggles Preview outside text editing. Manual frame-to-frame threading is a documented blocker.
4. Panels: Pages and Parent Spreads reuse recurring elements; Layers, Links, text styles, Tables and Preflight assist organisation. Preflight lists overset, missing fonts and graphics, low-resolution images and RGB print content; it does not certify print readiness.

Switching Interface Language (English ⇄ العربية)

Arabic interface integration and one-click English ⇄ العربية switching are in progress for XiLayout.
