Getting Started with XiVector

These instructions describe the checked VectorCraft foundation as of 14 October 2026. XiVector Alpha is free; public installer availability and XiKey integration are not yet verified.

Overview and Alpha Status

XiVector is the precision Bézier vector illustration, multi-artboard icon and packaging design, and print/web asset studio in the XiKey™ suite. XiVector is based on VectorCraft (v0.10.0) by the ArtCraft team (MIT OR Apache-2.0).

Alpha is free today. Public installers are not yet confirmed. Signed update delivery through XiLauncher is in progress.

Creating and Opening Vector Documents

  1. Choose File ▸ New (Ctrl+N / Cmd+N), set artboard dimensions and units, then review document colour and bleed settings.
  2. Open (Ctrl+O / Cmd+O) or Place (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P) artwork. Evaluate SVG, PDF or AI exchange on a copy. Export SVG, PDF, PNG, JPEG or WebP; EPS, DXF and TIFF export are not confirmed.

Welcome Screen and Workspace Choices (Status)

  • Theme: Light and dark appearance options belong to the checked foundation.
  • Arabic interface and one-click English ⇄ العربية switch: In progress.
  • XiKey splash, About, welcome and message dialogs: In progress.
  • Classic and Modern layouts and Retina/interface scaling: Planned.
