These guides describe the documented upstream workflow. XiAudio integration and installers are still in development; Alpha is free. Availability in a XiKey release has not yet been verified.
Overview and Alpha Status
XiAudio is the XiKey™ Alpha project for recording, arranging and mixing audio, based on SoundCraft. The capabilities below are verified in the upstream source; XiKey integration and installers remain in development. Alpha is free, with Arabic interface work clearly marked in progress.
XiAudio is based on SoundCraft by the ArtCraft team (MIT OR Apache-2.0).
Creating a Session and Configuring Audio Hardware
- Create a new session with File ▸ New Session and choose the sample rate and time ruler.
- Open Setup ▸ Playback Engine to select supported input/output devices. Test recording and monitoring first: physical-channel routing and synchronized input/output remain incomplete.
- Import WAV/BWF, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, Ogg Vorbis or Standard MIDI Files. Import support does not imply export support.
Welcome Screen and Workspace Choices (Status)
