Frequently Asked Questions
Alpha status (14 October 2026): XiSheet is planned and its public installer is not verified. This page describes the checked GridCraft foundation; XiKey integration is still in progress. Alpha is free today.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is XiSheet free during Alpha, and how is it priced in Beta?
Alpha is free today, but XiSheet remains planned and no public XiKey installer is verified. Future Beta pricing lists XiOffice (XiWrite, XiSheet and XiSlides) at US$29/year or US$3.49/month, before tax. XiKey Desktop Complete is US$99/year or US$11.99/month. The first-year 50% discount applies to yearly plans; the monthly first month is US$0.99. Alpha founding members retain the first-year 50% price for life. The student plan is US$9/year per product and US$19/year for Complete; no educator or XiOffice student entitlement is established. Perpetual licences will be announced later.
2. What is the refund policy once Beta subscriptions start?
Paid Beta subscriptions have a 30-day money-back policy; a processed refund revokes the licence.
3. How do I update XiSheet?
Signed update delivery through XiLauncher is in progress for this product. The store policy includes updates while subscribed, but product release integration is not yet verified.
4. Which modern worksheet functions does XiSheet support?
The checked GridCraft foundation includes lookup and dynamic-array functions such as XLOOKUP, FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, LET and LAMBDA. Verify important results while the calculation engine remains Alpha.
5. Does XiSheet support Right-to-Left (RTL) worksheets where Column A is on the right?
The upstream Sheet Right-to-Left control mirrors the active grid. Arabic UI and text tools are in progress for XiSheet; the checked upstream lacks Arabic shaping and bidirectional text.
6. Can I open and save Excel .xlsx files without losing formulas or charts?
XLSX read/write is supported upstream, but lossless interchange is not guaranteed. Advanced charts, queries and unmodelled workbook content have gaps; preserve originals and reopen saved copies.
7. Does XiSheet send my financial or scientific data to external servers?
Calculations run in the upstream application. No verified XiSheet release establishes a zero-telemetry promise; inspect release information when a package becomes available.
