A good spreadsheet helps someone decide what to do next. A total answers a question. A highlight draws attention to an exception. A chart makes a pattern easier to explain. XiSheet is the planned XiKey™ spreadsheet app for people who want that kind of clarity, with Arabic and English workflows being developed alongside the working document.

XiSheet has not been released. The capabilities below come from the checked GridCraft source, version 0.6.1 at commit 84acf6293b1dc1fc09837524e035d674eb4d6741, reviewed on 14 October 2026. They describe its upstream foundation, not an available XiKey installer. Product availability follows XiKey status.

Who it is for

Consider XiSheet if your work revolves around structured records, repeatable calculations and readable reports: a small team planning costs, an educator explaining a dataset, or a coordinator turning a list into an actionable schedule. The upstream supplies worksheet formulas, styled tables, sorting, filters, validation, PivotTables and charts. These give you room to start with a simple list and grow it into a report. Workbooks with intricate Excel features need a more cautious evaluation. The upstream documents gaps in large-workbook handling, connected data, chart fidelity and some saved XLSX content. An Alpha spreadsheet should be evaluated against copies of your real work, with important calculations checked independently. Known limits

A community solar budget

Put equipment quotes, installation costs and maintenance allowances into a table. Use formulas to compare the proposed budget with contributions, then show the remaining gap in a bar chart. Conditional formatting can flag categories that need another discussion. The useful result is a worksheet a committee can read together, with assumptions visible beside the amounts. An aquaculture feed log

Record a date, pond identifier and feed quantity for each entry. Validation lists can keep identifiers consistent, while filters isolate one pond and a PivotTable summarizes quantities over time. A festival volunteer roster

List shifts, locations and volunteer roles. Remove duplicate records, keep the header visible as the list grows, and filter the rows needed by each coordinator. Export a carefully checked PDF of the agreed roster. From raw rows to a useful report

1. Start with a working copy. Open XLSX, CSV or TSV and check the imported values. ODS and XLSB imports use cached data; older XLS support is partial. Format support
2. Give the data structure. Add consistent headings, use tables, remove duplicates and apply validation where entries need guidance. Data commands

For recurring work, GridCraft also exposes a CLI, a JSON control channel and an MCP server. These can read and write ranges and execute editing commands, providing an upstream basis for repeatable automation. They do not establish compatibility with existing VBA projects. What XiKey is developing

The verified bilingual pilot is XiPhoto. For XiSheet, the Arabic interface and live one-click EN ⇄ ع switch are in progress, along with an Arabic font dialog grouped by writing style and XiKey splash, About and message dialogs. Office text tools for kashida, tashkeel, Arabic digit styles and Hijri dates are also in progress; they are not current XiSheet controls.

Planned work includes Classic and Modern layouts, Retina scaling and sandboxed add-ons managed through XiLauncher. Signed update delivery through XiLauncher is in progress, with the product release channel still pending. These states follow XiKey status, checked on 14 October 2026.

Alpha, with a clear price boundary

XiSheet is registered as a planned Alpha product. Alpha is free under the launch policy. From Beta, it belongs to XiOffice, the bundle of XiWrite, XiSheet and XiSlides, listed at US$29/year or US$3.49/month before tax. There is no individual XiSheet price in XiKey pricing; these are future bundle prices, not a checkout for a released app. Pricing checked on 14 October 2026.
